Within the international MURA 2015 project, “MURA 2015” table-top exercise started today in Sveti Martin na Muri in the Međimurje county.
The exercise scenario is based on floods resulting from a sudden increase in water levels of rivers Drava, Sava and Mura in Zagreb county, Sisak and Moslavina county and in the area of Međimurje and Varaždin county. The aim of the TTX is the coordination of international response teams when the request for international assistance is made by the Republic of Croatia.
Representatives from the National Protection and Rescue Directorate, county PR office in Čakovec, Croatian Waters and Međimurje county take part in the exercise, as well as the response teams from the Republic of Croatia, Austria, Hungary and Slovenia.
The main evaluator of the exercise is Wolfgang Krajić. The European Commission representative, Project Desk Officer Per Oyvind Semb, is also attending the exercise.
The main coordinator of the project is the National Protection and Rescue Directorate. The exercise ends on 4 March 2015.
